HIF TECH was incorporated in year 1983. The company is well established in Malaysia and has strong presence in South East Asia. HIF TECH is a market leader in developing specialty products for Agriculture, Horticulture and Forestry since establishment.
HIF TECH started as a pesticide company and initially developed its own herbicide cocktails such as Esimix, d-Ultimate, Hiflo 888, Duomix 810 etc for rubber and oil palm plantations. In 1988, HIF TECH was appointed as sole distributor for Griffin Corporation, USA to develop flowable fungicide such as Kocide & Manex. The introduction of these products has replaced much of the fungicides conventionally used in cocoa and banana plantations.
In year 1993, HIF TECH was appointed by Scotts International B.V. Group as their sole distributor in Malaysia and Indonesia. HIF TECH has since developed and expanded the usage of Scotts’ Controlled Release fertilizers like Agroblen ® and Osmocote ® into oil palm, rubber and forestry plantations as well as ornamentals.
In year 2000, HIF TECH introduced oxysulphate micronutrients for use in oil palm and forestry plantations established in peat soil. In the more recent years, magnesium oxysulphate has been added to complete the micronutrient list for use in oil palm. These specialty products are manufactured by Cameron Chemicals, USA.
HIF TECH has an experienced management team and staff who are well trained into looking at the demands and needs of the industry. There is an urgent need to conserve the environment and HIF TECH, through product development and innovation introduces products at much reduced usage rates with improved efficiency.
